On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell. Bob is running for Governor of Virginia. He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.
Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones. You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE. We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.
First though, we need House Party hosts. If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008. Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.
As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

We’re very excited to see the launch of the all new Huck PAC website and our own TEAM HUCK pages. Our South Dakota page will feature candidates Huck PAC has endorsed, events in our state and much more.
Thanks to all of you for being part of Huck PAC and the National Volunteer Team. Beginning today, we will be known as TEAM HUCK and we will grow into a force that will help change the political landscape in South Dakota. We plan to be the voice for those who have been unheard in the state and federal legislatures, making our governing bodies what they were intended to be … of the people, for the people and by the people.
This is your area … a place where you can raise issues and state concerns. We look forward to hearing your voice!
Five Things
So you have joined Team Huck and are checking the blog regularly and commenting on issues that concern you. What else can you do? Here are 5 suggestions:
-
Encourage your friends to join and support Team Huck.
-
Make it a practice to attend city council meetings and/or county board meetings. Be informed about what is happening in your community.
-
Get involved in your county’s Republican party. Find our when they meet and attend. Run for office as a delegate to the state convention. Serve on committees.
-
Speak out … don’t be silent on issues that concern you. Write letters to editors. Write to state and federal legislators. You might also create a blog and write about it.
-
Be involved in local events in support of candidates and causes … attend your local Tea Party, participate in candidate forums or town hall meetings, host an event.
In the 1970s President Nixon used the term Silent Majority to describe those who were not flexing their political muscles via protests and civil disobedience. His assumption was that those who were silent were supportive of the course of the county. He was wrong in that assumption. There were many who did not agree, yet were not ready to march in violent protest.
We have a similar situation today. Poll after poll shows that most Americans are far more conservative than their elected representatives and are concerned about the direction the nation is taking. What can we do? We can refuse to be silent. We can begin taking steps to put candidates in office who really represent us.
What are some things you think will make a difference? Please tell us about them.
A Buck for Team Huck?
Last spring Brian Donegan, one of our Georgia coordinators, made a commitment to raise a large amount for Huck PAC. Rather than asking people to make large contributions, Brian asked them to give a Buck for Huck. And that’s what we are asking you to do today.
The numbers are in for the first quarter of 2009 and contributions from South Dakota were excellent. But we challenge you to increase that amount in the second quarter. As we begin identifying candidates to support, we want to be sure we have enough money to help in their campaigns, which is why we are raising money now. Before we know it, we will be in the midst of the 2010 election campaigns.
Here is our challenge to you …
-
Will you commit to giving a Buck a day for Team Huck?
-
Will you also commit to recruit others to give a Buck for Team Huck?
Of course, you can certainly give more than a Buck a Day. But imagine how fast it would add up if each member of Team Huck did that. We could easily raise $300,000.00 or more in the second quarter at a Buck for Huck per day.
Will you accept the challenge? Will you recruit others to do the same?
