The Sky Is Falling

The sky is falling or at least Washington seems to think so. And because they do, get ready for new taxes, new spending and new regulations. The nanny state is alive and well and if you don't listen and do what Washington tells you to do, you might just get hit on the head. So watch out this morning when you leave your front door, because you never know what might hit you

Huck PAC House Parties August 22nd!

On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell.  Bob is running for Governor of Virginia.  He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.

Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones.  You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE.  We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.

First though, we need House Party hosts.  If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008.  Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.

As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

We Need More Young People

My name is Jonathan Smith, and I live in Dobson, North Carolina. I volunteered to be the Group Leader for Surry County.

I am 17 years old and have been working within the Republican Party for three to four years. I am currently serving as the Surry County Coordinator for Chad Adams for NC-GOP Chairman. Also, I served as the Veteran's Chairman for John McCain in 2008 and have volunteered for many other campaign's as well.

I am a very conservative republican. I will not support a candidate such as ex-Republican Arlen Specter. I worked for Mr.Huckabee until he lost in the primaries in 2008. I supported Mike Huckabee because of his conservative views on issues such as Fair Tax, Pro-adoption, etc, and I will continue to support people like him because they will not change due to popular opinion.

I became involved in politics when a friend of mine ran for state senate in Virginia. He showed me the liberalism of the Democrat Party and from that day forward I have made up my mind to support and work for the most conservative candidates. I also want to see more young people get involved in the Republican Party.

A Cause I Believe In

After seeing the Democratic Party do so well in this past election, I got worried that conservative values would be discarded with the defeated Republicans. We can't afford to see that happen. Dramatic increases in government spending aren’t what we need, especially in an economic situation like the one we're in now. I want a government that is responsible with taxpayer money, not obsessed with creating new programs just because it can. I firmly believe that a Republican led government will see to it that both North Carolina and America will not only function properly, but with prosperity.

In 2008 I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Political Science degree. I learned the basic political process for local, state, and national government. I also studied political campaigns for both state and national officials in depth. It was this education that equipped me with the confidence I need to be an effective volunteer for a political action committee. Huck PAC is that committee.

I am interested in Huck PAC because of Mike Huckabee's ideas and leadership ability. I lived in Arkansas until 2008. He was my governor for 10 years. I saw up close how he worked with a Democrat majority house and still got things done. If he can be an effective leader in that setting, he can, without a doubt, lead a successful PAC.

Huck PAC will help elect officials that possess the same values that Governor Huckabee has, and raise support for issues that are important to America. Ultimately, I signed on to be a Huck PAC leader because it offers me an avenue to volunteer for a cause that I believe in, guided by an individual that I trust.

Tea Party in Winston-Salem

Here is the link for the Tea Party here in Winston-Salem this week.

I first became an ardent supporter of Mike Huckabee in Spring 2007, in the early days of his candidacy for the 2008 Presidential nomination.  That October, I started a blog for his candidacy - Huck the System   (now defunct) - drawn by the Governor's core conservatism, premier character, and leadership skills.  That support continues today with outlets like the Vertical Politics Institute and HuckPAC, grassroots-driven forums to proclaim and defend the first principles of America, as articulated most poignantly in the Declaration of Independence .

Locally, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, we seek like-minded Americans to join the chorus, to stand up for the best future of our country, our state, and our hometowns.

Together

I am 23 years old and I am from a small town in the foothills of North Carolina called Hays. I graduated from North Wilkes High School in 2004. I am a registered Republican and have been since the day I was able to register.

I feel very strongly about my conservative values. I feel that we, as conservatives, have  fallen under extreme attacks especially in the last decade. Now is the time that we need to take our stand. I believe that Mike Huckabee is the person that can lead us in that stand.

Mike caught my eye when Outdoor Life Magazine named him one of their 25 Most Influential people for conservation. This is something that I am very involved in with my community. When Mr. Huckabee formed Huck PAC, I knew this was something that I wanted to be involved in. I feel honored to be able to represent my county within The North Carolina Huck PAC and I KNOW that together, we can bring our country back to our conservative values that we were founded on.

Thank You,
Jason Richardson

Greetings My Fellow North Carolina Huck PAC Supporters

Greetings my fellow North Carolina Huck PAC supporters. I’m so glad you have signed on at the launch of the new Huck PAC website. This will be your go to place to find out all of the state Huck PAC related events. We want to create a place where we can easily communicate with each other about what is happening across the state, and be able to discuss the issues that are important to all of us.  As state elections draw closer, look for Huck PAC to endorse a candidate from North Carolina.

One of the goals of Huck PAC is to strengthen the support of candidates that share our conservative values. By maintaining a strong Huck PAC base, we can do just that. I’m looking forward to volunteering alongside each of you as we promote the ideals important to the success of our state and country.

On behalf of all the North Carolina Volunteer Coordinators:  Jane, Adela, Jeff, and myself, welcome to Huck PAC!

A Call To Arms Against Taxes

This April 15th, we have an opportunity to let our elected local, State and Federal leaders know our opinions about the current and proposed tax policies of our government.  One of our inalienable rights give to us by our Creator and guaranteed by our Constitution is the "Fruits of our Labor."  Our current and proposed system is excessive and corruptible.  As Governor Huckabee says," Let's hang the "Going Out of Business" sign on the door of the IRS."

On April 15th, there will be a FairTax Rally in Columbia,  South Carolina.  Information is on the FairTax.org web site.  may I suggest that you visit the FairTax site and try out the FairTax Calculator.  This calculator will compare your disposable income under the current tax code against the FairTax.  Just for fun, try it out and then get excited about the FairTax.  Post your results in the comments section.

Can't drive to South Carolina?  Join these regional Tax Tea Parties in North Carolina on the 15th.  Events are being held in Asheville, Charlotte, Franklin, Fayetteville, Greensboro,  Raleigh, and Stella Bridge.  Information on the specific locations and time is available on www.freedomworks.org web site.  Call 336-213-1167 or email freedomworks@mail.vresp.com.

Let's get excited and very passionate about protecting our rights to the pursuit of our happiness.  Hope to see you at one of these events.
