The Sky Is Falling

The sky is falling or at least Washington seems to think so. And because they do, get ready for new taxes, new spending and new regulations. The nanny state is alive and well and if you don't listen and do what Washington tells you to do, you might just get hit on the head. So watch out this morning when you leave your front door, because you never know what might hit you

Huck PAC House Parties August 22nd!

On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell.  Bob is running for Governor of Virginia.  He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.

Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones.  You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE.  We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.

First though, we need House Party hosts.  If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008.  Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.

As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

If would like to participate with us go to our Team URL on Facebook.

For those Huck PAC members interested in participating, please go to the above URL. Here are some instructions to make the process as painless as possible!

It is very easy to register. Simply go to the above URL and click on the "register now" button on the right hand side of the page. When navigating through the sign-up process, select the option for joining a team. Select Team Huck PAC. If the name is not displayed within the drop-down box, simply write in Huck PAC.

A couple of important points:

* Individual registration costs $20 and includes a t-shirt and the post-race party. There are reduced family registration rates available!

* While this event is called a "race," more than half of the field will consist of walkers.

* This is a very family friendly event.

* As you register, you will be prompted to post a fundraising amount. While you are forced to post a $10 minimum, you are not required to fundraise in order to participate. There are gifts, however, for raising specific dollar amounts/thresholds. The thresholds and their respective gifts are listed on the site.

Mike Huckabee

It was during a State GOP fundraiser in the summer of 2005 that I first met Mike Huckabee. As a NH resident and committed political activist, I met and spent time with most of the 2008 republican presidential candidates. My conservative roots are pro-gun, pro-life, and anti-tax. These positions are very important to me. Many presidential candidates agreed with my views but their sincerity was suspect. Following their stump speeches across the early primary states confirmed the softness of the conservative credentials of the so-called front runners. It was clear to me who truly believed his own message. It was easy for me to identify the true conservative and I was excited to be part of the effort.

The thing that impressed me most about the fundraiser with Mike is that for the first time I sensed that everyone in the room was truly enthused by a speaker. I remember speaking with a number of people who couldn't get over what a great speech he gave and how inspired they were by his approach to health care and education.

I was involved with the Huckabee campaign in New Hampshire for the next 2 1/2 years almost on a daily basis. I had the unique opportunity to personally get to know Mike. I spend a great deal of time with him as we travelled from one campaign venue to the next. I heard him speak at least 100 times and I can honestly say, every time he spoke I was intrigued, entertained, and inspired.

One of the most encouraging aspects of Mike Huckabees campaign was that he was able to accomplish so much with so little money. Mike showed me and the country that you can accomplish a great deal with good management, a better management and the overall best candidate.

Featured Candidate: Bob Clegg

We are begining to identify conservative Republicans nationwide that we will support through Huck PAC.  In the coming weeks we expect to add to our list.  If there is someone you would like us to consider supporting locally, please leave their name and office they are seeking as a comment to this blog post.

In the meantime, here is the first candidate that deserves your immediate support:  State Senator Bob Clegg

State Senator Bob Clegg is running for New Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District seat in the House of Representatives.  In 2007 he chaired Mike Huckabee's presidential campaign in New Hampshire.  Prior to that Bob served four terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, including several leadership positions:  Speaker Pro Tempore, Assistant Majority Leader and Majority Caucus Whip. He has been named Legislator of the Year by the National Republican Legislators Association, and Home Builders & Remodelers Association of New Hampshire.

In 2002, Bob was elected to the New Hampshire State Senate (where he later served as Majority Leader of the Senate). He has been a strong leader for New Hampshire, working on difficult issues facing his state including education funding and energy.

To contribute directly to Bob Clegg's campaign click here.  We encourage a small contribution in whatever amount you can afford.
