Candidates

Jon Bruning

For Attorney General of Nebraska 2010
Nebraska
Huck PAC and I are pleased to endorse Jon Bruning for Attorney General of Nebraska. Jon was elected the youngest Attorney General in Nebraska’s history in 2002, and ran unopposed for re-election in 2006. It is easy to see why Jon Bruning is so popular with the people of Nebraska.

Jon began his political career as a state senator in Nebraska and worked hard to provide income tax cuts and property tax relief to reduce the financial burden on taxpayers. He also began what was to become his signature issue by initiating a “tough on crime” platform offering legislation to increase penalties for violent criminals. Jon has earned a reputation as “The People’s Lawyer” for his even-handed application of the law as Nebraska’s Attorney General.

Jon Bruning has made the prosecution of violent criminals, sex offenders and drug manufacturers the focus of his “tough on crime” approach. Since Jon became Attorney General, Nebraska has seen an 86 percent decrease in the number of meth labs.

I urge you to support Jon Bruning in his campaign for re-election as Attorney General of Nebraska. This strong Conservative deserves the support of all of us.

The Sky Is Falling

The sky is falling or at least Washington seems to think so. And because they do, get ready for new taxes, new spending and new regulations. The nanny state is alive and well and if you don't listen and do what Washington tells you to do, you might just get hit on the head. So watch out this morning when you leave your front door, because you never know what might hit you

Huck PAC House Parties August 22nd!

On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell.  Bob is running for Governor of Virginia.  He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.

Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones.  You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE.  We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.

First though, we need House Party hosts.  If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008.  Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.

As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

Stop The Insanity!

So you remember that 1990’s phrase from Susan Powter? Now I’m not endorsing her or her beliefs; I’m just borrowing the phrase because it is very appropriate for the times we are living in today.

What has happened to our government? What happened to our core values, the things and belief’s that this great country was founded on? My family and I have a great fear that we as a Christian based country are becoming that preverbal frog in boiling water. You know the story; they say that if you put a frog into a pot of boiling water, it will leap out right away to escape the danger.

But, if you put a frog in a kettle that is filled with water that is cool and pleasant, and then you gradually heat the kettle until it starts boiling, the frog will not become aware of the threat until it is too late. The frog's survival instincts are geared towards detecting sudden changes.

This is a story that is used to illustrate how people might get themselves into terrible trouble. This parable is often used to illustrate as humans have to be careful to watch slowly changing trends in the environment, not just the sudden changes. It’s a warning to keep us paying attention not just too obvious threats but to more slowly developing.

So where can a 47 year old, married father of 6 turn to in order to make a difference; to be able to look at my kids and say “Your Dad is doing everything I can to protect your future…’. It didn’t take me long to decide Governor Mike Huckabee and Team Huck PAC where I needed dedicate my time and efforts too.

Governor Huckabee as his book says, is doing the right thing; as my late father told me when I was a kid “you have to stand for something….or you’ll fall for anything”

America don’t be like a lot of members of Congress, have a backbone and STAND for something now!

If The Foundation Crumbles . . . So Does The House

America is the greatest country on Earth! How many times have you heard that? But what makes us great? Why are there thousands of people coming to this country every year; both legally and illegally at great risk to life and limb?

Because they want a better life, they want a place where they can work hard and get ahead, a place with protected freedoms, and a place where there is a sense of community and togetherness; of family, where the sanctity of life is cheered and celebrated. It is on these points where I feel America has lost its way.

First and foremost we are a faith based nation; if you don't believe me just read the Declaration of Independence and it is to that end where we have lost our way.

As a country we have slowly moved away from our faith being the anchor and center of our life as evident by some of the things we've allowed to be taken away; such as prayer in school, or 10 Commandment memorials being removed from federal courthouses; you know the place where you place your hand on the bible and swear to tell the truth! We have also built up a tolerance to things that we viewed as immoral and appalling a few decades ago, all of this has contributed to the break down of the American family; which in my opinion is the root of a lot of the issues facing our country today.

With the break down of the American family has come an increase in divorce, increase in crime rates and violent crime, increase in abortions, a change from a community that takes care of each other; to a ME based generation.

Now follow me on this, in the 50's we had the age of the Cleavers, at the time a traditional family, crime rates were fairly low; we were a nation who took care of one another always; not just during times of tragedy. We used to leave our doors unlocked; we talked to strangers, and waved to them as we passed by. Then the 60's came and things began to fall apart, drug use increased, liberal attitudes; such as pre-marital sex and rebellion became the norm, fueled in part by a very unpopular war and turmoil of the time.

The attitudes of the 60's spilled over into the 70's with Roe v. Wade, disposable marriages and again increased drug use and liberal attitudes took over in music, movies and TV. The 80's saw this trend increase. Divorces increased as more and more families became dual income families, either out of necessity, out of a desire to 'keep up with the Jones's', or dare I say out of the desire of some wives and mothers wanting to compete in the work force; instead of keeping to a traditional marriage. Whatever the reason the family began to pull apart and kids looked to influences outside of their family for guidance; such as gang's, drugs, sports figures, etc. We started to become a nation of introverts, we didn't venture outside the home as much, didn't get to know our neighbors, locked our doors; all out of fear.

The 90's saw this trend increase, in addition to the true beginning of the ME generation and the greed on Wall Street and with the .com boom. The desire for the all mighty dollar took over and again, the family suffered and kids were left to fend for themselves. Government programs were further developed to give people a 'hand out' instead of a 'hand up'; what did this teach the children of the time?

The children of the 70's and 80's who only knew a single parent home with no Christian upbringing began to have kids of their own. And what are they teaching their kids? Are they teaching them to keep God centered in their life? To protect the unborn? To keep to the tradition's the country and our world was founded on? NO, no they didn't.

And now the traditional definition of marriage is under attack; a marriage is meant to be between a man and a woman, period. Anything else leads all children astray and will continue to lead to the decline in the American family and destruction of the foundations of this country. And if the foundation crumbles.. So does the house.

Looking For A Few Good People in Nebraska

Looking for A Few Good People in Nebraska

Governor Huckabee and Huck PAC have formed a national grassroots organization called "Team Huck."  The purpose of Team Huck is to find and support solid Republican conservative candidates around the country.  We are looking for candidates that support conservative principles - the sanctity of life, the 2nd Amendment, the FairTax, Marriage between one man and one woman, smaller government, fiscal responsibility.  Mike Huckabee has a vision of creating a national grassroots organization, one that will have coordinators in all fifty states, and leaders in every county.

Team Huck is the culmination of that vision.  If you are worried about the direction of government today, it is time to stand up and be counted.  Get involved.  Don't just stand on the sidelines.  We no longer have the luxury of being the silent majority.  The very fiber of the country we all love is threatened.  It seems that the attacks are coming from all sides, fast and furious.  Three states now recognize same sex marriages.  Despite promises to decrease taxes for the middle class, it is now apparent that the Obama Administration will be increasing many taxes - taxes that will affect the middle class and the poor more than they will affect the wealthy.  The Second Amendment is under attack once again, as the radical left moves to take away every American's right to own guns.  Government is moving radically to take control of our lives, from cradle to grave.

Spending is out of control.  The deficit is now measured in trillions, not billions, and no one in the Obama Administration seems to notice.  Join Team Huck, make a difference.  Together we can change the future of our country.  Doing nothing and standing on the sidelines is no longer an option.  If you are willing to help in Nebraska, leave a comment here, and we will contact you.

Why I Am Here

For years I have stayed on the sidelines and watched this process we call politics from a distance; heck I didn't even vote in the past few elections. But this past election season opened my eyes and showed me what is truly happening to this country and I couldn't sit on my hands anymore.

I started blogging in support of Mike Huckabee, made donations, started my own blog, got friends and family involved in the process; all in an effort to save this country.

I am just a normal conservative Christian, veteran, husband and father of six (yes.six) in Bellevue Nebraska who is fed up with the way this country is being manipulated by politicians and others who seem to have a different agenda then what this country was founded on.

I pray that this country moves back to the ideals and beliefs that it was founded on; whether anyone wants to admit it this nation was founded on faith and conservative values.

As a country we have slowly moved away from faith being the anchor and center of our life, as evident by some of the things we've allowed to be taken away; such as prayer in school, or 10 Commandment memorials being removed from federal courthouses; you know the place where you place your hand on the bible and swear to tell the truth!

We have built up a dangerous tolerance to things that we once viewed as immoral and appalling a few decades ago, all of this has contributed to the break down of the American family; which in my opinion is the root of a lot of the issues facing our country today.

With the break down of the American family has come an increase in divorce, increase in crime rates and violent crime, increase in abortions, a change from a community that takes care of each other; to a ME based generation.

I believe we as a community, city, state and country can do better; to once again be that bright shining city on a hill.

This is why I joined HuckPac; because we have to take this country back to the basics again.

Thank you and God Bless!
