Despite all gloom and doom that threatens to capsize the American ship and drown us, things are looking good for several states. The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Virginia voters finds pro-life McDonnell attracting 51% of the vote while Deeds picks up 42%. Over the past two weeks, McDonnell’s support has gone up three percentage points while Deeds has lost four points in the Rasmussen numbers.
Keith Ratliff, a registered Democrat, and president of the Iowa-Nebraska chapter of the NAACP, endorsed Republican gubernatorial candidate Bob Vander Plaats for Iowa today against Democratic incumbent Governor Chet Culver. The first Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 telephone survey of the Iowa governor’s race shows Culver trailing badly in a match-up with challenger Vander Plaats 39% to 43%.
Former House Speaker Marco Rubio is a viable contender against Charlie Crist in the GOP primary for the US Senate in Florida, featured on the cover of the conservative National Review, as a rising star of the right. In straw polls taken in eleven counties, Rubio has soundly beaten Crist 10-1! He has received the endorsements of Congresswoman Ginny Brown-Waite, Karl Rove, Governor Mike Huckabee and his PAC, Huck PAC, Sen. Jim DeMint, and Mark Levin, a conservative talk show radio host and best selling author.
Although Jeb Bush stopped short of a Senate endorsement, he praised Rubio as having a great life story and as being very articulate. Bush said national party leaders should not be trying to push Crist as aggressively as they have. He said Rubio deserved a fair shot against Crist in a primary. George Will says the time is ripe for Rubio.

I am hoping we Alaskans can use Huck PAC as the vehicle that helps to identify and enable true fiscally, socially and Constitutionally conservative candidates to be elected right here in Alaska. Huck PAC is a political action committee that was formed and is working nationwide to help elect Republican candidates meet these standards to national and statewide offices. Since its inception last year, Huck PAC has helped more than thirty Huck PAC endorsed candidates to win their races. Huck PAC provides a means for people to connect with other like-minded people and also builds a network of communication for sharing important news and information about what is going on in our country as well as our states and how to take action to defend the Constitution and conservative values.

I was honored and privileged to attend the Values Voter Summit in Washington DC September 18th through the 20. I thoroughly enjoyed talking with all the people who came by the Huck PAC Booth. There was huge support for Governor Huckabee and many people who were not familiar with Huck PAC were eager to sign on. We gave out all the Huck stickers we had! As we expected, Governor Huckabee did an excellent job at the Summit as was evidenced by the Straw Poll results! A million thanks to Shelley Ahlersmeyer! She did an absolutely terrific job setting up,
running and keeping the Huck PAC booth staffed! This was a great forum to introduce Huck PAC and I think we will see an increased awareness and involvement nationwide. Fellow Team Huck Coordinators, continue to work hard and do the great job you have been doing! I am proud to be in your number!

The sky is falling or at least Washington seems to think so. And because they do, get ready for new taxes, new spending and new regulations. The nanny state is alive and well and if you don't listen and do what Washington tells you to do, you might just get hit on the head. So watch out this morning when you leave your front door, because you never know what might hit you
On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell. Bob is running for Governor of Virginia. He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.
Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones. You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE. We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.

Then GOD Put Mike Huckabee Onto My Radar

My grandmother had one mission in life. That was to spread the gospel to everyone she came in contact with. She said the best way to do that is to show the love of CHRIST by living it; treat everyone with respect and find a way to lift them up rather than tear them down.
GOD put a strong desire in my heart to share the Gospel and I have always felt the biggest platform for Gospel outreach is the political arena and elected office. I'm not saying that if you get elected, you can start hosting revival meetings and start thumping people over the head with your bible from your elected office. But when Conservative Christians will take the responsibility to run for political office on the basis of truth, honesty, morality, and righteousness and when other Christians will support them in prayer, help with the campaigns, get the message out about where they truly stand and then support them with input on what they are doing, whether it is good or bad, that is when we can live in peace and tranquility, knowing that we are enabling good laws to be passed and helping to keep government from becoming the master instead of the servant. Something James Dobson said on a radio broadcast, has stuck with me for many years: More is caught than taught.
I have a great passion to stand for what is right and GODLY, regardless of political affiliation or denominational background. I have worked many long hours on several campaigns in the past, always only for good solid Christian men and women who stood up for what would be Godly government and would not be bought by special interest groups, in order that they could then trade to get their pet projects rammed through. But the one thing all these campaigns had in common, win or lose: when the race was over, it was over. The candidate went on to the office if they won or on to the next race if they lost and you went back to what you did before campaign season.
But with Mike Huckabee, it was different. Here was a person like my grandmother, who chose to show the love of CHRIST by living it, treated everyone with respect and found a way to lift them up rather than tear them down. Mike and Janet Huckabee and their family, despite uphill climbs, scraps, and very deep bruises, have allowed the healing love of CHRIST to shine through their everyday lives, by their compassion, respect, thoughtfulness, and unselfish hard work for anyone and everyone they encounter, regardless if those recipients agree or disagree with them, and no matter how they (the Huckabees) were treated by others.
There were very few I would have chosen to work for the 2008 election. But one did stand out to me: Mike Huckabee.
When I started praying and asking GOD who I should vote for and started looking into the whole slate in July of 2007, I'm reading through the list of Republican hopefuls, thinking to myself... "supposed to be conservative...hmm...maybe... too liberal ... hot tempered...flip-flopper, hair too perfect, (just kidding!)... good solid conservative, hmmm,... nah,..."
I started looking at not only the things they said but what were their actions, what had they done. What was the most important things they would like to accomplish? Then GOD put Mike Huckabee into my radar and I thought..."Huckabee? never heard of him... strong on traditional marriage, staunchly pro-life, solidly supports our military, national sovereignty, real border control and legal immigration,... supports states right to rights to carry out educational programs including fully supporting home schooling,...has an equitable tax reform plan...this is interesting..." I must say his opening statement on his web page was gripping. He said "My faith is my life- it defines me. My faith doesn't influence my decisions, it drives them. I don't separate my faith from my personal or professional lives."
I was hooked! I started reading his books and seeing the things he did and accomplished in Arkansas and came to the realization that here was a man of GOD after my own heart, that wouldn't compromise his principles to gain a vote or pass a bill that was flawed in order to get something he wanted done. I firmly believe that GOD will never use dishonesty and dishonorable acts to accomplish His purpose.
This past year has had many scandals and the media eagerly turns toward Mike Huckabee, because of his stalwart and sagacious character and integrity, In every single situation, no matter whether it concerns democrat or republican, liberal or conservative, Mike Huckabee stands on principle without compromise and finds a way to lift them up rather than try to profit by tearing them down as all the pundits were doing.
Through the campaigns I have worked on, I never had the passion GOD has given me for Mike Huckabee! If the candidate I was working for lost the bid we just went on from there, but with Mike and Janet, God has not released me yet. I keep hearing GOD tell me, "Be Still, wait patiently for Me to act!" (Psalm 37:5) A lot of times God speaks to me by bringing a scripture to my mind. Then I look into and find others He wants me to read. When others confirm that message, I know it is straight from the mouth of God.
In December of 2007, GOD had me join a national prayer team to pray for Mike Huckabee and our elections. I know that one of the reasons that Mike was able to stay on track and continue on with integrity and honor, and still listen to the direction of the HOLY SPIRIT in his contacts with FOX News, on his show "Huckabee" and "the Huckabee Report" is from his unwavering commitment to prayer and submission to GOD's direction for him. GOD has directed us to continue to pray for Mike and Janet, as well as Huck PAC and Team Huck. I am certain Mike is exactly where GOD wants him to be. He is human and just as fallible as the rest of us, but when submitted to the direction and work of the HOLY SPIRIT with CHRIST working in and through him as with all of us, we are more than conquerors!
During the primaries, along with millions of other Americans, Alaskans found out the truth of Mike Huckabee: Mike is genuine and not a silver spoon politician. He makes his supporters, even ones who never met him before, feel like valued friends and even family. Mike has continued to stand by what he worked for in the campaign, Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness by working hard for true conservative candidates and issues around the country. I am a proud member of Team Huck and Alaskans For Huck PAC: I am hoping to do my part in Alaska, as part of Alaskans For Huck PAC to educate and inspire a movement for fair taxation, economic opportunity, concern for life at all stages, support of traditional marriage, national sovereignty, and personal responsibility as Americans.
