On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell. Bob is running for Governor of Virginia. He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.
Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones. You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE. We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.
First though, we need House Party hosts. If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008. Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.
As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

Wisconsin Political News
Wisconsin is in serious trouble - the estimated state deficit is over $6.6 billion. That's over $1,100 per person - estimated by some to be the 4th highest deficit in the nation.
There's massive wasteful government spending, tax hikes, and fee hikes in this years budget. State Senator Joe Leibham from Sheboygan reports: "Total “all funds” spending in the Governor’s budget proposal would equal $63 billion, an increase of 7.7 percent over the current base of $58.5 billion. Governor Doyle seeks to balance his budget in large part with a number of tax increases, some of which include the income tax ($311 million), capital gains tax ($180 million), hospital health care tax ($99 million), oil company tax ($271 million), tobacco tax ($343 million), and a number of business tax increases totaling about $225 million."
The situation is so bad that over 3,700 citizens are attempting to recall Governor Doyle, whose approval rating is at 35% - third lowest in the country according to recent polls.
Conservatives are needed now more than ever to get involved and start getting ready for the 2010 elections - 99 state assembly seats, 15 state senate seats, and the governorship will be up for grabs. We need to take back the Assembly, the Senate, and the Governorship in 2010, and all of us need to get involved.

Wisconsin Fundraising Goal - halfway to $1,000

*If you missed the Madison Tea Party, it was incredible. Over 8,000 people showed up on the steps of the Capitol. I was on WVCY's In Focus playing some highlights of the Tea Party (you can watch it online here). A home-educated high school student, Mellika Willoughby, gave a phenomenal speech that you can watch on the video as well! Matt Harter, the 24 year old mayor of La Crosse, was also at the Tea Party, and later at the GOP Convention, he welcomed the delegates to his town.
*
WisGOP Convention Recap*
Speaking of the Convention, May 1-3 was the GOP Convention in La Crosse. Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker's people were out in force - Saturday morning saw the Walker hospitality tables loaded with coffee for
conventiongoers, as well as t-shirts and signs! WisPolitics.com held a straw poll, and Walker won 93% of the vote for governor. For Lieutenant Governor, Mayor Dave Ross of Superior received 35% of the vote. Mayor Ross has
travelled the state extensively over the past few months- he was in Milwaukee for the Defending the American Dream summit, and spoke briefly at the Madison Tea Party.
*
2010 WisGOP Convention - Milwaukee*
If you missed out on this years convention, make plans to attend next year's convention, May 21-23 in Milwaukee. The 2010 convention will be voting on the party platform, endorsements for statewide office, resolutions, and more. You can be a delegate to the 2010 convention by joining your county GOP party (for Waukesha County, that's only $15!). Once you sign up, let your county party know that you would like to be a delegate, and then you
are able to vote at the 2010 Convention!
