On August 22nd Huck PAC supporters will gather to meet one another and make phone calls on behalf of Huck PAC endorsed candidate Bob McDonnell. Bob is running for Governor of Virginia. He has what it takes to be a great leader for Virginia.
Our goal for the day is to make 10,000 calls to Virginia voters. We are asking participants at each House Party to make a few calls using their cell phones. You do not have to make calls to attend a Party and participation is FREE. We will provide the lists of voters names and phone scripts for everyone willing to participate.
First though, we need House Party hosts. If you are interested in hosting a House Party or want more information please contact Katie Beth Harris at Huck PAC or call Huck PAC at 501-324-2008. Her email is katiebeth.harris(at)mikehuckabee.com.
As we identify House Party Hosts we will add their party information to the map below.

• I want to spend all of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s money.
• I want cabinet members who don’t pay their taxes.
• I want the recent “tax cut” to expire after only one year.
• I want longer lines and lower quality healthcare.
• I want a weaker national defense.
• I want to grow government to an unprecedented size.
• I want to drastically grow the size of welfare.
• I want to allow innocent children to be aborted for any reason.
• I want 1.3 trillion or more in new taxes.
• I want my government to control private companies.
If you answered yes to ALL of the preceding questions, then Organizing for America is probably the best organization for you. But I would bet if you are reading this, Huck PAC is the organization for you.
As I would suspect, most Americans want limited government intrusion into their lives. Americans want to keep more of their money and receive quality healthcare. Americans want more choices that lead to a better education system for their children. Americans want life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as guaranteed in the Declaration of Independence.
If you believe in these basic principles, we would love for you to sign up and become actively involved in turning this country around. Join Huck PAC!!!!
Justin Lafferty,
West Virginia Coordinator
I would just like to take time with this blog to introduce the current team members for HuckPac in West Virginia and provide you with a little bit of information about ourselves and why we joined HuckPac.
Justin Lafferty
My name is Justin Lafferty. I am a college student at West Virginia State University. During 2007, I started researching political candidates for the upcoming Presidential Election. Many of the candidates that the media was pushing at the time did not really interest me. I figured there had to be a candidate out there that shared my values. After watching debates and doing some research, Gov. Mike Huckabee was that candidate. I jumped on board as a supporter and even made some phone calls and seen the poll numbers rise from 1% to winning the Iowa Caucuses and many other states including my own state of West Virginia.. I followed along each step of the way including following the results of the Ames Straw Poll online which was encouraging at the time.
I decided to volunteer for HuckPac because Gov. Huckabee and I share the same conservative principles of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Many times when looking at the problems facing our country we ignore the common sense approach. I believe Gov. Huckabee can lead the Republican Party in bringing common sense back to America. Gov Huckabee once said, "It's when ordinary people rise above the expectations and seize the opportunity that milestones truly are reached." I believe that rising above the expectations and accomplishing something for America is what being a coordinator, volunteer, or staff for HuckPac is all about.
The highest paid consultants, strategists, and media personnel can not make an impact like a next door neighbor or a member of the community. When people see members of their community fighting for something, it makes them more motivated to look deeper into the issue and is more likely to cause them to support that cause as well. I'm looking forward to working with HuckPac to get candidates that share these conservative values elected to office and I hope you will do the same.
Barbara Smith
Hello. My name is Barbara Smith and I live in Vienna (near Parkersburg). Ever since I first heard Governor Huckabee last summer I have been a believer in him and his policy. He was the only candidate who lived the values I cherish: conservative ones which mean less government and more personal responsibility. And gosh do we need that now! That's why I was thrilled when I learned about HuckPAC and its efforts to elect conservative candidates throughout our great country.
We are seeing now the results of what our government will be like when we have elected and appointed officials who want more government control in our lives! Heck, the government is interfering in every aspect of our lives now. Look at the draining of our personal finances which has happened. Spend, spend, and spend. That's all we are getting from Washington. Isn't it amazing how they can spend our money willy-nilly without a care in the world? Have you ever seen anything like it?
The Republican Party has disappointed me somewhat over the past several months. Gov Huckabee stated on March 18, 2009 in The Washington Times the following: "The 10th Amendment defines the limits of the federal government in 28 words: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."
Over the past few years, Republicans have been either acquiescing in or encouraging the acquisition of more power and control by the federal government - in policy shifts in education, health care, and even how a driver's license looks."
That's why it is important that we conservatives need to unite behind an organization which elects candidates that brings less government and encourages more personal responsibility to our lives!!! Before it's too late, let's work together to get rid of the likes of Frank, Dodd and many others who don't have a clue what conservative Americans want.

Tired of What's Been Going On In Washington?
by Barbara Smith, WV Coordinator
Well folks----------it's going to be an interesting April, 2009. With our federal government spending our money like there is no tomorrow and taking control of businesses which they have no right to do.........just what can we do? Do you sometimes feel as helpless as I do? I have sent letters to all our Congressmen and Senators from West Virginia (and in some cases just received a form letter back, if I was lucky!!). I am a news junkie and pretty much have Fox News on all the time (except when I watch "24") so I feel I am well informed. When I go to the grocery story I try to buy products grown or made in the U.S.A. I had quite a discussion with the produce employee today about why there were no grapes from the US and I had to buy grapes grown in Chile!!! (I really wanted some grapes.)
Still, though, I feel like I am not doing enough. That's where HuckPAC comes in!! By joining HuckPAC I feel like working toward the election of conservative candidates in West Virginia and across the United States is a positive step I can take. That's why I joined. With an emphasis on conservative values like less federal government and taking more individual responsibility I feel there is a chance that we can save our democracy! Check out Huck PAC .
Another way I hope to get involved is by attending one of the TEA PARTIES planned for April 15. Below are two sites where you can check these out and make contacts with those in charge.
Tax Day Tea Party OR National Tea Party Day
And since our federal government does not seem to be listening to us, take the time to let businesses you deal with know how you feel. Speak up! Engage your friends in conversations about conservative values and why it is important to take action NOW to save this government!
Life. Liberty. Pursuit of Happiness.

Introduction To WV County Leaders
by WV Coordinators Justin Lafferty and Barb Smith
This blog is intended to help you become familiar with the county leaders that we have in place. We still are looking for leaders to emerge in many other counties throughout the state. Get involved. Contact us if you are interested.Kayla Finley
Wayne County Leader
I've never felt that politicians really have the best interests of the people in mind, just their own personal goals and agenda. I first saw Mike Huckabee on The Believer's Voice of Victory and his directness and honesty with his beliefs was extremely endearing. I was shocked to find out that he was in politics, and researched him more from there. I think he is a truly amazing person and has the best interests of the country in mind. As a 20 year old college student living in one of the most overlooked areas of the country, I love to see someone in power that doesn't forget about the real people that make up the greatness of the United States.
Ashley Stinnett
Putnam County Leader
Born and raised in West Virginia, I grew up in theatre and the arts. While attending Marshall University, I focused my attention on acting and modeling, landing various jobs on the East Coast. After graduating from Marshall University with a background in Criminal Justice and History, I wrote and produced my first feature film “Lake Forest” which received a small theatrical release and DVD distribution. After “Lake Forest” I set out on a new journey which would take on the role of championing conservatism. While in college I served in various local conservative clubs. After college, I began serving on state and national level Republican committees, was soon elevated to National Committeeman, and then became State Chairman of the West Virginia Young Republicans.
Since 2005 I have been a regular guest host for the Clear Channel Communications produced,”The Tom Roten Morning Show”. I have served as a full-time journalist since 2004 writing freelance for several West Virginia based newspapers as well as multiple online media outlets. In 2005, I was invited to serve on the editorial board for the Huntington Herald-Dispatch and have been a regular op-ed writer. In April of 2007, my production company released a half- hour documentary titled “Our Second Amendment: A Guarantee of Freedom”. The film, which is set in Appalachian America, exposes the liberal gun banning agenda stemming from the politicians in Washington as well as the United Nations to the media.
Aside from maintaining “Patriots Last Stand” I serve as a writer, media and public relations consultant, public speaker, volunteer for various conservative organizations, and a civilian recruiter for the NRA. I am registered with the Associated Press and the National Conference of Editorial Writers. I am currently working on a book which will feature a “patriot’s foundation for a better America”. The reason I joined HuckPAC was because Gov. Huckabee stands for what I believe and he doesn’t back away from his religious views. I think he is a true Southern conservative and that’s what we need in the White House and at all other levels of government.
Jessica Fancher
Jefferson County Leader
I am a Social Work and Economics major at Shepherd University. I am also very active in the Campus Republicans group at Shepherd University. I am a huge fan of Mike Huckabee. His faith and commitment to his values is really quite admirable. I, like many others, first heard of Gov. Huckabee during his campaign to receive the Republican nomination for president, and early on I became one of his biggest supporters. I have been interested in politics my entire life. This past election cycle, I had the privilege to volunteer for Shelley Moore Capito's campaign, which resulted in victory! With this passion and experience I hope to be able to further the conservative cause in West Virginia.
Scotty Robertson
Cabell and Logan County Leader
I am the College Republican President from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. I am also the county coordinator of Cabell County and Logan County in West Virginia. I was particularly drawn to Gov. Huckabee because a lot of Christians find it a conflict to link their faith with their politics, but Gov. Huckabee has done this and in doing so taught me that it can be done. If your faith guides you, it will be your guide for what you say and do in public and personal life. I think he has done this in a way that doesn’t isolate people from his cause as well. He can also do this while being very much in the mainstream which I also admire. I am excited about organizations like Huck PAC because being from West Virginia it is hard to get resources to Republican candidates because of the big trail lawyer and union support in our state. This organization is like Gov. Huckabee giving me resources to help Republican candidates and causes that are the closest to my heart.
Lelia Diane Koepnick
Marion/Harrison County Leader
I currently reside in Fairmont, WV with her husband and daughter and am self-employed as a Virtual Assistant. I have been interested in politics most of my adult life, but as I have gotten older, I have realized that I need to be more actively involved in order to help change evolve. My decision to support Mike Huckabee stems from my desire to see our country get back to its roots. Mike’s unwavering Christian beliefs and family values strongly motivated me to work on his team.
As a wife and a mother of two, I know the importance of standing for what you believe in and strive to live by and instill in my children the old adage, “Stand for what you believe in or you’ll fall for anything.” I believe that this is what Mike Huckabee emits and knows that if we want change in this country, it’s going to take a man like Mike Huckabee.
