Candidates
Bill Bolling
For Lt. Governor 2009
Virginia
Bill Bolling was elected Lt. Governor of Virginia in November of 2005. In that election Bill received more votes than any other statewide Republican candidate. As Lt. Governor Bill Bolling has worked hard to promote a conservative legislative agenda that focuses on the things he believes in - keeping government small and focused on its core responsibilities, keeping taxes low for families and businesses, making certain that Virgina remains a great place to do business and finding solutions to the challenges that face Virginia.
Bill is widely recognized for the work he has done to improve the quality of health care in Virginia. He is also recognized for a major statewide initiative that he launched in 2007 - 100 Ideas For the Future of Virginia. Bill has discussed the economic crisis facing the Country and says "In times of economic decline, recovery ultimately depends on consumer confidence and resurgence of the private sector, not the public sector. Recovery will occur when consumers spend more money on goods and services, which will enable new and existing businesses to invest and create jobs."

Bob McDonnell
For Governor 2009
Virginia
Bob simultaneously attended law school, continued his work for a Master's Degree in public policy, raised his young family, worked as a sales manager for a newspaper, and served in the active reserves for the Army. In 2005 McDonnell was electedAttorney General for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Since taking office as Attorney General McDonnell has seen 83 of his 94 legislative proposals become law, most with overwhelming bipartisan support,
He has been commended for his work to strengthen Virginia’s mental health laws, crack down on animal fighting, establish a “Senior Alert” to assist in locating missing seniors with mental deficiencies, create a state of the art Sex Offender Registry, and provide new tools for law enforcement involved in online investigations of identity theft, sexual predators, and other 21st Century criminals. Bob created and led Virginia’s Youth Internet Safety Task Force, which received widespread attention for its significant recommendations to improve online safety, and established the ongoing Attorney General’s Task Force on Regulatory and Government Reform. The task force has already made over 250 individual recommendations to streamline Virginia’s Administrative Code, and reduce burdensome government regulation.
Service, honor and hard work are the values that define Bob McDonnell, and they are the values that will define his term as Governor, should he be so honored by the voters of Virginia.

Ken Cuccinelli
For Attorney General 2009
Virginia
Ken believes strongly that preserving public safety is the first responsibility of state government. He co-sponsored successful legislation which adds additional penalties for hazing of gang members. Ken also worked with the Attorney General's office and his colleagues in the Senate to reform Virginia laws regarding sex crimes. His legislation improved Virginia's procedures for keeping the most violent and dangerous sexual predators off the streets of the Commonwealth as long as possible. He also helped override Governor Kaine's vetoes of several death penalty bills, thereby ensuring that those who murder judges and trial witnesses are immediately eligible for the death penalty.
Ken Cuccinelli believes that both the United States and Virginia Constitutions were written to permanently protect the individual right of law abiding citizens to own and use firearms for any lawful reason. Ken believes that human life deserves protection at every stage of development, as the Founding Fathers outlined in the Declaration of Independence. As he says "Without the right to life, all other rights are unavailable." Ken Cuccinelli will continue to support the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death. He will also strive to support women in crisis pregnancies.
Ken is also committed to passing legislation that removes the economic incentives that encourage illegal immigration. Ken Cuccinelli is committed to supporting the Rule of Law by making sure state and local officials have the tools and resources they need to effectively enforce Virginia's immigration laws. Ken is also determined to continue to support a favorable environment for starting and growing business in the Commonwealth of Virginia, including fighting tax hikes. Ken believes that marriage should be protected as a sacred union between one man and one woman. He also strongly defends the rights of parents to control the education and health care of their children.

Virginia Republicans ended their 2009 State convention by completing their ticket of Bob McDonnell for Governor, Bill Bolling for Lieutenant Governor and Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General. Over 7,000 delegates attended the convention in Richmond. I am extremely pleased with the success of these outstanding conservative Republicans. I have had the privilege of campaigning on behalf of Bob McDonnell and Ken Cuccinelli in the last few months and look forward to campaigning with all three Republican candidates in the next several weeks.
Bob McDonnell, in accepting the Republican nomination for Governor, once again outlined his conservative principles, including his pro life position and his support of the 2nd Amendment. Bob also spoke of his views regarding the economic crisis the country and Virginia are facing. He spoke of his plans to create jobs by reducing government regulation, as well as ways to make college more affordable and his support of offshore exploration of oil and gas.
Huck PAC and I look forward to the coming campaign and the ultimate victory of Bob McDonnell, Bill Bolling and Ken Cuccinelli. Congratulations to Virginia Republicans for choosing these three outstanding conservative candidates to lead Virginia forward.
Standing Together
Mike Huckabee
I was pleased to endorse each of these terrific candidates and Huck PAC is already hard at work on their behalf. I have travelled to Virginia to campaign with Bob McDonnell and Ken Cuccinelli and look forward to campaigning with Bill Bolling in the near future. I hope that the delegates to the Republican State Convention will take a few minutes to learn about these outstanding candidates, if they are not already familiar with them. I especially hope that you will take a moment to vote for Bob McDonnell for Governor, Bill Bolling for Lt. Governor and Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General.
Huck PAC and I are proud to have endorsed each of these terrific candidates. Bob McDonnell, our endorsed candidate for Governor has been an outstanding public servant since entering public life since his first election in 1991. In 2005 Bob was elected Attorney General for Virginia. He has worked hard for the people of Virginia, never wavering in his commitment to the people of Virginia and to his conservative principles. Service, honor and hard work are the values that best define Bob McDonnell and they are the values that will define his Governorship.
Bill Bolling is the Huck PAC endorsed candidate for Lt. Governor. He is a solid conservative, having repeatedly established his conservative principles since beginning his political career in 1995 when he was elected to the State Senate in Virginia. He was elected Lt. Governor of Virginia in 2005 and has worked hard to promote a conservative legislative agenda that focuses on the things he believes in - keeping government small and focused on its core responsibilities of keeping taxes low for families and businesses, and finding solutions to the challenges that face Virginia.
Huck PAC and I are also pleased to have endorsed Ken Cuccinelli is the candidate for Attorney General of Virginia. Ken has been a member of the Virginia Senate since 2002 and has led the fight to defend constitutional rights, stop tax increases, protect life and families. He believes that preserving public safety is the first responsibility of state government. Ken also strongly believes that both the United States Constitution and the Constitution of Virginia were written to permanently protect the individual right of law abiding citizens to own and use firearms for any lawful reason.
If you are a delegate to the 2009 Republican State Convention in Virginia please be sure to vote for Bob McDonnell for Governor, Bill Bolling for Lt. Governor and Ken Cuccinelli for Attorney General.
Standing Strong With You
Mike Huckabee
Even though I only spent two days in Virginia with him, I really enjoyed my time with Bob - crisscrossing all over Virginia and speaking to hundreds of people that are as ready as I am for the right kind of change. During our time together, one thing in particular about Bob struck me, the passion and vision he has for Virginia became vividly clear.
The Republican party is not done, but it does need to be rebooted, and that will start in Virginia. There is a clear choice to be made, and I’m proud to stand with Bob McDonnell and I hope you will join with me in making sure he is the next Governor of Virginia.
For Victory in Virginia,
Mike Huckabee
In the fall of 2006, my husband attended the Values Voter Summit, where various conservative leaders had a chance to speak. When he came home, he told me all about the speeches he'd heard. "But the guy to watch," he said, "is this governor from Arkansas. He's the REAL DEAL!" A year later, someone forwarded me the famous YouTube video of Gov. Huckabee's debate response when asked about evolution. I was thrilled!
I was extremely impressed by three things: (1)that Gov. Huckabee knew the truth about evolution; (2) that he didn't duck or evade the question, but answered boldly and directly; and (3) that he answered in a most articulate manner, with humor and humility. Shortly thereafter, I volunteered to help in Virginia, and what a ride! I had the time of my life, lost 8 pounds, and met a lot of great people! I still check HuckPAC.com almost every day, sometimes several times, and work the blogosphere for Mike as often as I can.
I was excited to attend the first TeamHuck party in our area. Gov. Mike Huckabee is a once-in-a-lifetime leader. You just don't find someone who is godly, wise, a true conservative, a highly gifted communicator, funny, intelligent, and humble. And his record of accomplishment in Arkansas backs him up. During the past several years, I had to reluctantly relinquish my pro-life work because I have small children and teach them at home. I prayed and asked God how I could still be involved in that ministry, while putting my family first.
Recently I realized that working alongside Gov. Huckabee IS my pro-life ministry! Let's get some pro-life leaders elected to public office at all levels of government! I like Mike because I am a Christian first, a conservative second, and -- possibly -- a Republican. I hope the rest of the conservative movement will take a closer look at Gov. Huckabee and see what WE see -- a principled, gifted, genuine man with fresh ideas and solutions for the way forward, and the courage to stand up for what's right.

Huckabee Campaigns For Cuccinelli; says Obama got the wrong dog
By J.R. Hoeft
April 16
Former Arkansas governor and presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is making stops in Hampton Roads and Northern Virginia today on behalf of State Sen. Ken Cuccinelli’s campaign for attorney general.
Huckabee, at his first stop in Chesapeake, spoke glowingly of Cuccinelli as a principled conservative and ardent defender of the life movement.
“One of the reasons I’m here today is because of Ken’s unwavering commitment to every single human life from the moment of its conception to its actual conclusion,” said Huckabee. “If a person is not committed to defending our basic principle of our right to life, they will not understand our right to liberty or our right to pursue happiness.”
Huckabee also stressed that the attorney general will be facing several legal challenges over the next four years, including likely challenges of Virginia’s marriage amendment due to Iowa permitting same-sex marriages. He said that Cuccinelli’s principled positions make him the best candidate to handle these and other constitutional issues that are likely to come up.
The former governor also spoke about the economic issues facing the country and yesterday’s tea parties. He mentioned that yesterday President Obama indicated that he was not aware of the 6 million-plus demonstrators across the nation.
“If the president is that blind to what’s happening on his front porch, then his choice of a Portuguese water dog was a bad decision — he should have gotten a guide dog,” Huckabee quipped.
He also was critical of the major networks being dismissive of the protests - saying that six code pink demonstrators at a hearing get more air time than six million “moms, dads, and small business owners” who take off from work and rearrange their schedules in order to make their voices heard to the government.
I was able to catch up with the governor briefly and asked him about the significance of Virginia nationally, his view on the tea parties, and his thoughts on 2012:
